I, and many of the women I know, have juggled the intricate balance of having a loving home environment, taking care of their children, having a career, and finding fulfillment in their own personal lives as the ‘superwoman’ for their families. Have you discovered yet that being that perfect superwoman is out, but loving our families is not? It is that very love that motivates us.
To continue taking care of our families and loved ones in an economy that has steadily worsened, women are adjusting to the circumstances by looking to create micro-niche home-based businesses, and becoming full-fledged entrepreneurs.
Preparation.
Where does a woman start? How does a woman begin? If you want to be successful, you have to first take 100{5c84b89e0cba74b6d8cdc777bf9a8338d14dd91243071983e74bc62a6792d410} responsibility for everything that you experience in your life. The journey of being an entrepreneur is totally different than that of being an employee or having a career.
Discover foremost, that there is only one person responsible for the quality of the life you live… and that person is you. You are about to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Every decision you make will affect your family, your relationships, your health, the achievement you experience for the business you want to create at home, and the results you produce.
For your business to grow, and for you to achieve the life of your dreams for yourself and your loved ones, you will be creating changes that cause things to happen by your actions which will affect everyone around you.
Power.
This is powerful. Rather than be afraid of change, realize that if you don’t take an aggressive stance, changes will happen to you anyway. So, do you want to be in control or would you rather allow the outside circumstances (the economy, lack of income, struggling to make ends meet, downsizing or losing your job, etc.) control you?
Changes to prepare for in a home-based business, or working from home: A new daily method of operation (DMO) or schedule, accountability to yourself rather than an employer, business responsibilities (documenting for tax purposes, ultimately becoming an LLC or business entity), discovering a learning curve for operating your business, new mindset, new skill set, remaining focused, discovering what is holding you back, being relentless when obstacles happen, taking action, enjoying the changes, and enjoying your new life because this is about YOU, and no one else!
You may think this is for your family, but you will not be able to help the family, unless you take a deep look inside of yourself.
Perfection.
So, quit waiting for the perfect moment, to become more inspired, permission from others, reassurance from your best friends, someone else in your life to change, you to lose your job and all this happen when you’re not prepared, the absence of risk (that’s not going to happen), someone to discover you, a clearer set of instructions, getting ready to get ready, the pain to leave you because it won’t, more self-confidence, or the fear of being alone on this journey.
Permission.
Give yourself the permission to live an extraordinary life; create that wonderful life you dreamed about for yourself when you had childlike faith and hope.
These are some of the things I have discovered on my journey as a business woman and entrepreneur; I hope I’ve been able to empower and enable women who desire to be successful home business entrepreneurs!
